What is the difference between radiation, chemotherapy and dialysis?

I know radiation and chemotherapy are mainly for cancer but what is dialysis for? I'm curious to know the difference. Both my parents (in their 70s now) have battled cancer and have gone through radiation but no chemo (thankfully). I have no clue what they do in radiation or chemotherapy and want to know. What is the difference between radiation, chemotherapy and dialysis?
Dialysis is for kidney failure. Basically the patient is hooked up to a machine 3 times a week to clean their blood.

Chemotherapy can be given as an intravenous infusion or pill form. This requires many treatments.

Radiation is performed in a hospital or treatment center. The patient is placed on the table and the technician programs the machine to give the correct dose of radiation at the exact site of the cancer. Several treatments are required. What is the difference between radiation, chemotherapy and dialysis?
