How to cure an itchy scalp from radiation treatment?

Mom has cancer and she is agonizing right now about how itchy her scalp is due to the radiation treatment she got a three weeks ago. What can help? Aloe vera doesn't and Aveeno anti-itch cream doesn't either. How to cure an itchy scalp from radiation treatment?
Ask her doctor about using Benadryl tablets twice daily and a lotion called Sween Baza Cleanse %26amp; Protect. Aka Sween cream. It's by Colopast. http://www.us.coloplast.com. I have very dry skin on my legs from Femara and I use it.

She should not use regular shampoo, or hair treatments. Johnson %26amp; Johnson baby shampoo is recommended. How to cure an itchy scalp from radiation treatment?
Yes she should call the center where she got the radiation and ask to speak to the charge nurse. They will definitely have some ideas. There is a cream just for this purpose- can't remember the name but call the nurse and they will help you. I think it is mixed at the pharmacy. Aquaphor (aquafor?) is also usually quite helpful. How to cure an itchy scalp from radiation treatment?
at the place i work the nurses recommend "remedy" cream which is sold at walmart. They recommend it to be used daily. but not to use it 4 hrs prior to radiation treatment.
