This lady is undergoing heavy radiation therapy, I thought of a lotion for her irritated skin, but i need addtional ideas, about 4-5 items please. She is 53
Thanks in advance! What are some items I could put in a care basket for somone undergoing radiation treatment?
A hand held game to play.
A good book.
A photo album with family pictures
Warm socks
A soft hat
NOTHING that has any fragrances or chemicals in it.
I always include a water pistol.
Comes in handy for watering plants and really fun to add some levity to her life. I know this sounds silly but that is the point!
As a friend it is important to not be too serious around her.
Another idea might be some very funny movies.
Laughter continues to be the best medicine.
A beautiful scarf would be great as well. What are some items I could put in a care basket for somone undergoing radiation treatment?
Someone did that for me when I was going through radiation treatment, some of the items were A cozy shawl because I tend to get cold, some of my favorite magazines, a CD of some soothing music to listen to during the treatments, she peppermints and some socks. Just letting them know that your thinking of them means so much, I know for a fact that cancer can be very lonely place so when you receive a gift like this it will make all the difference.
Your are a good friend!
a family friend is going through breast cancer treatments....
we gave her a basket full of things to do with breast cancer
since its winter a fuzzy pink scarf and gloves,
pink ribbon socks, pink nail polish, she golfs so pink golf club covers, pink jelewry, pink chocolate covered pretzels, pink frosted cupcakes, etc.....
don't get her something that will make her feel like she will be lying around, get her something fun! i'm sure she's getting akward things from people that don't know what to say like sympathy cards and books on coping with cancer....
if she's going through breast cancer do a pink themed basket to show that you support the cause and fill it with fun stuff! What are some items I could put in a care basket for somone undergoing radiation treatment?
Try a book---
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert is a good one.
It's about a spirtiual journey for a woman and spans over Italy, India, %26amp; Bali. In each country, she learns some great spiritual information. It is a biography. But the book speaks to all women. Through this book- I was helped to remember what I think I already knew deep inside.
A teddy bear, chap stick, lotion, perfume, candy.
a book or magazine
make sure the lotion is scent free, just in case she cannot have it.
maybe a beautiful picture to bring her hope.
Warm fuzzy slipper socks
Small joke or puzzle book
Small stuffed animal
Chemical-free lip balm
Mineral water spritz for skin
